The Sunday night Billboards Awards was full of great performances, including an amazing Whitney Houston tribute from John Legend and Jordin Sparks. Celebs came ready to show off their best on the
red white carpet, so let's take a look at what people wearing!
First up, Taylor Swift looked nothing less than stunning in her red Elie Saab gown with nude and lace bodice. She's giving me pure eleganza (in my RuPaul voice). A look very fitting for Billboards "Woman of the Year" winner.
Usher surprised me in a great way by showing up to the award show in this blue Bottega Veneta suit! He looked so handsome and modern with his grey accents, hot shades and super cool hand-in-pocket pose. This look was a risk, but definitely one worth taking... bravo!
Carrie Underwood looked fantastic and definitely had the most standout look of the night! She got her Cinderella inspiration on in an Oscar de la Renta head to toe look. I especially love how she kept it girly with that pearl and crystal clutch.
Brandy has been having an amazing fashion game lately! She kept the faboulos-ness going for the event in a nude Herve Leger bandage dress full of fringe and gold metal plates. Her cute accessories included a gorgeous curly fro, perfect smokey eye and nude lip makeup combo, Christian Louboutin gold bow heels and an equally cute box clutch. Love this look!
Jordin Sparks looked great in 2 different looks on Sunday night. My favorite of her 2 ensembles is the look on the left. She wore the beautiful black and blue leather corset silk maxi dress by Mason while performing her half of the Whitney Houston tribute. However she started off the night in a head to toe Diane von Furstenburg outfit featuring a nude lace overlay dress and t-strap heels.
John Legend and fiance Chrissy Teigen made a cute item on the white carpet. Her red Georges Chakra dress was gorgeous while his looked was under whelming. But the weird thing is, he still looked cute in his urban dapper look... must be the glasses.
Twins couples! Monica went for a sexy all white look in long gown with slits on the front and side. Her leopard print platforms are soo so killer, they add an unexpected touch of glam! She and hubby Shannon Brown made the perfect couple in contrasting colors.
Meanwhile another color contrasting couple was Alicia Keys and her boo Swizz Beatz. Alicia also went for minimalism in a black Azzedine Alaia dress. Her sleek braided updo was a great compliment for the overall look, and her bight red lip was a great way to add a splash of color.
Normally I don't do posts about outfits that I don't like but...
Nelly Furtado wore this white crochet number from Alberta Ferretti. I'm not sure about this, she looks stiff and uncomfortable. Also pairing that dress and necklace together is going overboard... I mean seriously. But her makeup does look amazing! This girl is drop dead gorgeous so I don't understand why she wears unflattering looks. I would love to be her stylist and upgrade her. Still love her, but I'm just sayin...
